LIGHT SHELF

The LIGHT SHELF was born from bending a single brass plate four times. A light source is tucked into the approximately 8mm gap where the plates overlap, and the soft light reflecting off the inner surface spreads outward. The light also illuminates the color and texture of the brass itself. The surface is finished in raw brass, without any paint or coating. Over time, it will oxidize, evolving into a unique appearance depending on the environment in which it is used. It can be placed either horizontally or vertically, with its orientation changing how both its form and light appear. Even after the light is turned off, the silhouette of the bent plate and the texture of the material remain in the space.
