andon

Neither circular nor rectangular, its thin form stands on its own. Born from traditional materials, and-on is an object with a contemporary presence. Light diffused through Ogawa washi paper spreads softly from both sides, and when placed slightly away from a wall, the light also reaches the surface behind it. It is a lighting piece without a fixed front, designed to be displayed either vertically or horizontally. Hand-made Ogawa washi paper and welded, polished brass—these distinct materials are combined with precision.
